ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਹੇ ਗਰਬੀਐ ॥

No one is anyone's companion; why take any pride in others?
ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰਬੀਐ ॥੧॥
Eaek Naam Aadhhaar Bhoujal Tharabeeai ||1||
With the Support of the One Name, this terrible world-ocean is crossed over. ||1||
ਮੈ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਚੁ ਟੇਕ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
Mai Gareeb Sach Ttaek Thoon Maerae Sathigur Poorae ||
You are the True Support of me, the poor mortal, O my Perfect True Guru.
ਦੇਖਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਦਰਸਨੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Royal powers, wealth, and worldly involvements are of no use at all.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਆਧਾਰੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਏਹੁ ਧਨਦ਼ ॥੨॥
Har Keerathan Aadhhaar Nihachal Eaehu Dhhanuo ||2||
The Kirtan of the Lord's Praise is my Support; this wealth is everlasting. ||2||
ਜੇਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਤੇਤ ਪਛਾਵਿਆ ॥
Jaethae Maaeiaa Rang Thaeth Pashhaaviaa ||
As many as are the pleasures of Maya, so many are the shadows they leave.
ਸੁਖ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਾਵਿਆ ॥੩॥
Sukh Kaa Naam Nidhhaan Guramukh Gaaviaa ||3||
The Gurmukhs sing of the Naam, the treasure of peace. ||3||
ਸਚਾ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੇ ॥
Sachaa Gunee Nidhhaan Thoon Prabh Gehir Ganbheerae ||
You are the True Lord, the treasure of excellence; O God, You are deep and unfathomable.
ਆਸ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਜੀਅਰੇ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੧੧॥
